Tigers fall short against Waverly

A huge run to end the second quarter allowed the Waverly girls basketball team (10-6) to defeat Hastings (9-10) 69-48 on Thursday. 

The Vikings got hot from outside the arc and finished the second quarter on a 17-5 run to lead 38-25 at halftime. 

Tiger sophomore Sophia Pankratz hit a jumper with over six minutes left in the first half, giving Hastings a 20-18 lead. Then, the Vikings sizzled the nylon for the next three minutes from outside the arc.
