Broncos fall to Dakota Wesleyan

Trying to handle Dakota Wesleyan University’s big man became too tall of an order for the Hastings College men’s basketball team Saturday.

DWU center Jalen Voss dominated the game, scoring 34 points and hauling down 18 rebounds as the Tigers downed the Broncos 86-72 at Lynn Farrell Arena.

The Broncos also had trouble containing Tiger guards Trae Bergh and Kris Menning, who closed with 28 points and 15 points, respectively.

Voss, Bergh and Menning combined to score all but nine of the Tigers’ points.

HC’s record stands at 19-8 overall and 13-5 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
