Sutton falls to Overton

GRAND ISLAND — Whether it was the fact that it had to play at 9 in the morning, or just couldn’t get into a groove early, the Sutton boy’s basketball team struggled in the first part of its game Saturday against Class D-1 No. 5 Overton.

However, once the Mustangs did find their groove, they chipped back in and took Overton to the wire.

A a third-quarter run in the third quarter gave Sutton the lead, but it was not enough to hold off the Eagles, as the Mustangs fell 51-48 on in the Heartland Hoops Classic at the Heartland Events Center.
