Nothing went right Monday for the Kenesaw girls basketball team at the start of its Class D-2, Subdistrict 7 play-in game with Pleasanton.
The No. 4-seeded Blue Devils’ first six possessions on offense ended in a turnover, with not a single shot even attempted. The No. 5-seeded Bulldogs used those errors to notch a 7-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game.
But from there, Kenesaw (7-14) responded with a 12-2 run that lasted nearly seven minutes, taking the lead for good and eventually holding on for a slim 42-38 victory.
