Patriots fall to Stars

Adams Central's Tevin Anderson shoots against Kearney
Catholic's Matt Moore Friday night in Hastings.

Basic defense eluded the Adams Central boys' basketball team Friday night.

The Patriots had trouble stopping Kearney Catholic from the dribbling the basketball. And that became a major culprit in the Patriots' 73-63 loss to the Stars.

"We couldn't guard the dribble. Six-three points is enough to win," said AC coach Zac Foster "On our stats, the rebounds were even. We only had nine turnovers. We had no answer for the most basic thing in basketball, which is to guard the ball."
