tournament Friday at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.

OMAHA — The Adams Central wrestling team knew it had a strong chance of having multiple wrestlers in the Class B finals. And that's exactly what the Patriots did on Friday at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.

AC's Jack Barry and Alex Meier both won their semifinals matches to pull within one win of a state title. Barry said Friday's victory was the best of his career.

"It's the most incredible thing to make it to the state finals. Football is my favorite sport, but when it comes to wrestling and making it to the state finals, there's nothing better than that," he said. "It's just total excitement right now; I could probably stay up all night. I won't get much sleep. That was the best win I could have in my career. We'll what we can do tomorrow and give everything to God."
