Mustangs, Titans advance in subdistrict

GENEVA — It was evident early in the game that the Thayer Central boys basketball team was in the zone offensively.

The Titans hit nine of their first 10 shots and had their highest scoring output of the season, in beating Sandy Creek 75-45 in Tuesday’s Class C-2, Subdistrict 7 game.

“That’s kind of out of the norm for us. The assistant coach and I were joking on the bench that we usually miss a layup or two before we get started,” said Thayer Central head coach Clint Havel.
