Silver Lake’s season ends in 1.8 seconds

Kaellen Miller hit two free-throws with 1.9 seconds remaining Monday giving Pleasanton (5-16) a 50-49 win over Silver Lake (1-19) in the Class D-2 Subdistrict 7 tournament at Adams Central.

Trailing 48-46 in the closing moments, Silver Lake junior Journey Ericsson penetrated the lane and knocked down a 10-foot jumper and was fouled in the process with 10.3 seconds remaining. Ericsson converted the free throw, giving the Mustangs back the lead that they held for a majority of the game.

The Bulldogs got the ball to mid-court when Pleasanton head coach Miah Slough called the team’s last time out.
