Raiders score big OT win over Giltner

Lawrence-Nelson's Dan Schroer goes up for
a shot against Giltner Tuesday.

No. 3 seed Lawrence-Nelson outscored No. 2 seed Giltner 6-1 in the overtime period to advance to Thursday’s Class D-2, subdistrict 7 championship with a 45-40 win Tuesday night.

Austin Mazour hit four free throws while Brennan Miller hit a jumper to lift the Raiders to their first championship appearance since 2006.

“For our program, which has been down the past four or five years, this is a big deal,” said L-N (9-13) head coach Tom Jensen, whose team will face Kenesaw (11-12) at 7 p.m at Adams Central on Thursday.
