Branding effort in works for Hastings

Later this year, community officials plan to unveil a unified brand for Hastings that will connect the marketing and outreach efforts of the city's tourism, government and business development organizations with a recognizable logo and stamp.

The branding effort has been likened to the "Life is Right" campaign in Lincoln, or the "O!" brand seen on brochures, posters and social media marketing efforts in the city of Omaha.

The Hastings Board of Public works backed the branding project with a $25,000 fund designation at its regular meeting Thursday.
