Her hearing and eyesight may be diminished, but even at 105 years old Evelyn Alberding still can carry on a conversation.
Alberding, who was born Jan. 4, 1908, celebrated her birthday surrounded by a handful of family members and other residents of College View Assisted Living, where she lives, Friday afternoon at College View.
"I think it's wonderful that they're going all out to do this for me," she said in an interview before the party. "It's probably the first party I've ever really had. I'm just pretty satisfied to be up here in my three rooms (of my apartment)."
