Legislature begins new session


State Senator Les Seiler of Hastings pays respects as our
nation's flag passes by on the first day of the state
legislature.

There were signs Tuesday that another session of the Nebraska Legislature was about to get in full swing at the Nebraska State Capitol.

The 60-day session — the second and shorter of two sessions for this group of senators — started this morning and is slated to last through mid-April.

"You can definitely tell things are getting ready to start up," Sen. Annette Dubas of Fullerton said Tuesday. "There are people roaming the halls and a lot of buzz and chatter going on. The session is right around the corner."
