Like everyone else, Sandy Himmelberg had no idea who the mystery artist coming to Milligan to shoot a commercial on Jan. 4 for Super Bowl XLVIII would be.
So when it was announced it was South Carolina native Lee Brice, the Adams County Fairgrounds general manager could scarely believe her good fortune. As fate would have it, FairFest officials had secured the services of Brice as a grandstand headliner for FairFest 2014 months earlier.
"It was perfect timing for us," Himmelberg said.
Joining Brice on the list of grandstand headliners announced Friday morning for this year's FairFest are: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, July 16; Casey Donahew Band, with special guest Aaron Watson, July 18; Thomas Rhett, July 19; and Nebraska Bush Tractor Pull, July 20. Brice will perform July 17.
All grandstand musics acts start at 8:30 p.m. except on Friday, when opening act Watson takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.
