County official Lewis says goodbye after 27 years


Adams County Clerk Chris Lewis is retiring.

County officials don't usually rank among the superheroes of the world. But Larry Woodman might disagree.

After working for 27 years with Adams County Clerk Chrisella Lewis, the former county supervisor has a name for her:
"Super county official."

That's a sentiment shared by Secretary of State John Gale, who bestowed his first meritorious medallion award upon Lewis in 2008.

"I've had the greatest admiration for Chris from the first year I was Secretary of State," Gale said from his office at the State Capitol Friday.
