JABST KASMS, a team from Lincoln, captured the Hastings Parks & Recreation snowball softball tournament, besting Frosty's Mugs N Juggs of Hastings 9-5 in the championship game. The Snowballers of Hastings finished third in the four-team double-elimination tournament.

Ryan Martin, tournament director, said the presence of snow between third base and home plate made for some interesting plays at the plate throughout the day. Though much slipping and sliding ensured, there were no injuries reported, he said.
