County supports mini golf renovation

The miniature golf course at the Hastings Family YMCA will receive several aesthetic upgrades year thanks to a $25,000 pledge of support from Adams County.

At its regular meeting Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors approved a recommendation from the Adams County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors to award the grant funds to the YMCA, 1220 W. 18th St., which hopes to have renovations complete in time for the course’s opening in April.

“This is an opportunity to support a community attraction that is great family entertainment for our residents and visitors,” said Kaleena Fong, CVB executive director, during the meeting. “When softball teams come into town, or when we have families staying in our community, this gives them another option for something fun to do on a summer afternoon.”
