Kent Theesen created this self-portrait using a medium he
calls digital enhanced photography art. His work will be
featured in a Good Life television segment on NTV at 9:45
a.m. Wednesday.
It has long been the dream of Hastings artist Kent Theesen to share his art on a large scale.
In his vision, he sends a Harley Davidson art piece to Jay Leno. Leno is so impressed by his work he invites him on "The Tonight Show," whereupon a star is born.
And while his scheduled appearance on NTV's Good Life program at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday isn't quite a national segment, he sees the opportunity as yet another exciting step up the ladder to discovery.
"It's a great feeling for an artist, a great honor," the 52-year-old Theesen said. "We've all got talent; it's just some of us don't get discovered right away."
Theesen has had his fair share of moments in the spotlight, both on television and on radio. A one-time radio personality, the 1978 Hastings High graduate graced the airwaves of stations in Omaha, Lincoln, Alliance, Madrid, Spain and Salt Lake City, Utah, from 1979 through the mid-1990s.
