ROSELAND — A few more shots here and there could've been the difference for the Silver Lake girls basketball team.
Nebraska Christian defeated Silver Lake (5-3) 40-31 Friday night. It was a game in which it seemed there was a lid on the basket. The Lady Mustangs shot just 9-of-47 from the floor and couldn't get a bucket to fall when they needed it most.
"We were as cold as ice. That was the killer," Silver Lake head coach Keith Crowe said. "If some of those fall, that brings out (Nebraska Christian's) defense (to the perimeter) and that would've opened up the inside a little bit. But we didn't shoot well, at all."
