Adams Central knocks off Minden

Adams Central's David Bohlen shoots against Minden's Adam
DeLaet Tuesday.

Adams Central came out in the second half Tuesday knowing they'd have to win in ugly fashion.

The Patriots (8-3) did that, defeating the Minden Whippets 55-44 in boys basketball game at the Patriot Gym.

After a slow first quarter, both teams found more consistent offense heading into the halftime break.

The Patriots' freshman guard David Bohlen hit two three-pointers in the second quarter that gave the home team a 24-23 lead heading into the break. A three-pointer by Whippet's guard Jonas Lovin as the horn sounded cut the deficit to one, making it anybody's game in the second half.
