Minden jumped out of the gates early and never looked back in a 77-40 victory Tuesday over Adams Central.

The Whippets (10-0), who are No. 1 in the girls basketball rankings for Class C-1, hit 12 three-pointers on the night and had four players score at least 12 points.

Senior guard Jamie Kissinger led the way offensively, scoring 20 of her game-high 22 points in the first half as Minden led 50-21 at the break. Jamie had five three-pointers, all in the first half.

"It's a confidence booster to do that," she said. "But I can't have a good game like that without my teammates. It's a real team effort."
