Big second quarter lifts Superior girls

ROSELAND — A key 16-0 run in the second quarter fueled the Superior girls basketball team to a 55-46 victory against Silver Lake on Tuesday.

Trailing 21-11, Wildcats' sophomore Riley Butler began the rally with back-to-back 3-pointers. Then senior Alex Meyer hit three-straight shots from the floor while senior Chelsea Renz earned a lay-up to complete the turnaround and put the visitors on top 27-21.

That lead dwindled down to just two at one point in the second half, but Silver Lake never managed to overcome it.
