Broncos win at Concordia to move to 6-4 in GPAC

SEWARD — The Hastings College men's basketball team ranks second in the NAIA in scoring offense. But in its GPAC conference matchup at Concordia Wednesday night, it was the defense that set the tone.

Concordia (5-11, 2-8) tallied 26 turnovers — 16 of which were caused by Bronco steals — and HC earned an 84-75 victory.

The Broncos picked up their second consecutive conference win to improve to 6-4 in the GPAC and 15-5 overall. HC sits in a three-way tie for fourth place in the conference standings with Briar Cliff and Midland.

All three teams are just one game behind Doane and Dordt (7-3). Northwestern is tops with an 8-2 conference record.
