ROSELAND — Blue Hill boys basketball head coach Joe Hubl has to repeat himself a lot. Nearly every game, he said it seems like he's having to ask his defense to step up.
And at halftime of the Bobcats' basketball game against Silver Lake, the conversation wasn't much different.
After a 22-all tie in the first half, Hubl's squad granted the coach's wishes, limiting the Mustangs to just five points in the third quarter in accomplishing a 48-36 road victory on Friday.
"We had to get better defensively. We have to commit ourselves in being there for our teammates when we help on defense. They did that," said Hubl, whose team improved to 3-5. "(The defense) created a lot of pressure, and it made a big difference."
