ROSELAND — The Blue Hill girls basketball team took control of the paint from tip-off in earning a 56-30 win over Silver Lake on Friday.

The Bobcats grabbed nine rebounds before the Mustangs had one, while also finding some success with getting the ball in the post.

Losing the rebound battle 32-13 wasn't exactly in Silver Lake head coach Keith Crowe's recipe for a win.

"(Blue Hill) caused all kinds of problems for us all game long. They do such a great job going to the offensive glass. We couldn't get the ball out and push," said Crowe, whose team fell to 6-5. "We just didn't check out well enough. They hurt us on the boards and got easy put-backs. We had to go man to just try and check out better.

"(Blue Hill) is just a very good basketball team. They were a matchup problem for us. They're big and strong, so this was tough."
