MINDEN — The St. Cecilia boys basketball team was all too familiar with the situation it faced late in its matchup at Minden on Thursday.

Of their seven losses this season entering Thursday, the Bluehawks had fell in six of them by 11 points or fewer. And in many of those cases, STC couldn't seal the deal at the end.

After three quarters with the Whippets, the game was tied 40-all and STC had yet another chance to finally prove it could finish the game. The team did just that, holding on for a 52-49 win to snap a four-game losing streak and hand head coach Kevin Asher his 300th career win.
