Giltner runs away from Kenesaw

GILTNER — The Giltner girls basketball team went on a nine-point run in the last 2 minutes and 9 seconds of the first quarter en route to a 65-28 win Tuesday night over Kenesaw.

The Hornets (11-1) gained several steals off their full-court press that led to easy baskets.
“The first quarter we went with our diamond-one press, which is our specialty, and toward the end of it we got to them and got some steals to score some points quickly,” Giltner head coach Nancy Lockmon said. “It was a little bit of a slow start, but we got things rolling after a while.”
