GRAND ISLAND — Another day, another game decided in the last minute.

Only it wasn’t as dramatic as the St. Cecilia’s boys last victory, a 52-51 upset of Lincoln Christian on a last second lay-up. Instead, the Class C-2 No. 5 Bluehawks controlled the final minute thanks to a huge 3-pointer by senior Alex Sheehy that sparked a 6-0 run to defeat Northwest 44-38 on Tuesday.

The Vikings overcame a four-point deficit to tie the game at 38-all with 1:34 left in the fourth quarter. Then, with just under a minute to play and Northwest switching its defense to a trap, Sheehy made his big play.
