HHS girls can't keep up with GINW

GRAND ISLAND — Class B No. 3-rated Grand Island Northwest set school records for points in a quarter and margin of victory Friday night in a win over Hastings High.

 The Vikings (13-1) scored a school-record 30 points in the first quarter, hitting their first five field-goal attempts and finishing 11-of-17 shooting on their way to a 30-2 lead. Northwest led 44-7 at halftime and 60-14 after three quarters.

Bailey Petzoldt scored seven points off the bench to lead Hastings (0-12), which was held scoreless for the first 7:14 of the game. The Tigers shot 23.8 percent (10-of-42) from the field and were outrebounded 40-19.
