It has been a tough home stand for the Hastings College men’s basketball team. After a 17-point loss to Division II rival University of Nebraska-Kearney, the Broncos beat NAIA No. 9 Midland 94-93 in overtime and Morningside — which was receiving votes for the top-25 poll — 80-71.

On Wednesday, Concordia came to Lynn Farrell Arena to close out the four-game home stretch, and the Bulldogs did not go away quietly.

Concordia cut HC’s lead to three points with 8.5 seconds left, but a pair of free throws by Brady Lollman sealed the game and gave the Broncos a 71-66 victory.

Hastings College has now won three in a row and four within the conference.

“In our league, it doesn’t matter where or who, teams are capable of beating you,” said Hastings College head coach Bill Gavers.
