Warriors defeat Mustangs 56-41

ROSELAND — It's always a good thing for a basketball team to end any quarter on their own terms.

The Red Cloud Warriors (8-5) did just that as they defeated Silver Lake (1-13) 56-41 on Friday.

Warrior junior Skylar Brumbaugh hit a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to end the first half giving Red Cloud a 26-11 halftime lead.

To end the third quarter, it was Brumbaugh, again, that hit a three-pointer at the horn giving Red Cloud a 36-25 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

"We work on those things everyday, situational basketball," Red Cloud head coach Jim Eberly said. "We want to close quarters defensively and offensively. We have set plays that we run out of it. Our goal is to get the shot. We had the ball and got some shots late in the quarters. That's what we work on."
