Tiger bowlers headed back to state

district meet Saturday at Pastime Lanes.

The Class B No. 1 Hastings High boys bowling team found themselves in a familiar position after the district tournament Saturday at Pastime Lanes.

The Tigers outscored Waverly by 173 pins for a total of 3,771 to give them the district title and an automatic bid to the Class B state tournament.

“This is our fifth district (championship) in a row, so it kind of speaks for the kids who weren’t even here five years ago, so it’s still going on,” Hastings High head coach Butch Hogan said.
