KEARNEY — The Adams Central wrestling team has the tradition of being a powerhouse in the LouPlatte conference. And it proved that on Saturday.
Despite missing a couple wrestlers due to injuries, the Patriots claimed their second straight conference championship, compiling 192 1/2 points. AC was 47 points better than second-place Wood River. Doniphan-Trumbull finished fifth with 91 points.
“Four champs is probably more than I thought we would get,” said Adams Central head coach Dan Lonowski.
