Tigers fall to No. 3 Beatrice

The Hastings High boys basketball team (7-8) came off of an emotional win over Adams Central in a packed gym on Tuesday night, only to face class B No. 3 Beatrice (13-1) two nights later.

The Tigers trailed by five at the end of the first quarter, but that would be as close as they got before losing 62-28 Thursday night.

“It’s just a continued mentality that we’re struggling with,” said Hastings High head coach Lance Creech on facing Beatrice after Tuesday’s cross-town game. “Until we can figure some stuff out on our own and not need crowds, and not need music, and not need whatever else it is to get motivated, we have to be able to come out and compete.”
