LAWRENCE — Jackson Graves will be ready to defend Earth against aliens if the need ever arises.
The Hastings 7-year-old learned traditional Boy Scout skills like archery, BB gun shooting and making a first aid kit at Pony Express Day Camp Saturday. But he also learned how to decode a secret alien message and make slime with glue, water and borax.
Still, firing the BB gun was Jackson’s favorite activity.
“I like guns and loud things,” he said. “The one that I’m really excited to shoot is the rifle in a couple years.”
This year’s theme, “Alien Invasion,” was chosen because of the recent release of “Men in Black 3.”
