New box office honors Lorraine Teller

Fred Teller is pictured in front of the new box office at the
Hastings Community Theatre which was named in memory of
his wife, Lorraine.

For 40 years, Lorraine Teller swept, painted and patted fannies at Hastings Community Theatre productions.

That, her widower Fred said, was Lorraine's typical answer when asked what she did for HCT. Lorraine was a member of the theater board of directors when she died in August 2011.

"She did do those things and so much more," Fred said.

The new HCT Lorraine D. Teller Box Office will be dedicated at 7:30 p.m. Friday during the 2013 Theatre Gala Season Opener at the theater, 515 S. Fouth Ave.

In addition to the box office dedication, shows for the upcoming HCT season will be announced and scenes from previous productions will be performed.
