SUTTON — Fire destroyed a bus barn and two school buses parked inside Thursday afternoon, killing two pets and potentially hampering transportation for the upcoming school year. No people were injured in the fire.

Superintendent Dana Wiseman said the cat and dog belonged to the school’s transportation director. She said the animals greeted anyone coming into the building and would be missed.

Wiseman said transportation is the most immediate concern, but they have three weeks before school starts to find a solution.
