YMCA names temporary CEO

The Hastings Family YMCA has a new temporary leader at the helm and it's a familiar face.

Kim Hunt, who worked a combined 15 years for Champions and the YMCA, recently was named as the YMCA's temporary CEO.

Hunt left the YMCA in March to work with her husband, Rod Hunt, at his Farm Bureau Insurance office as a client relations manager.

However, when the announcement came in early June that Michael Krings was stepping down as the YMCA's CEO, Hunt was ready and willing to help.

"I feel very strongly about the YMCA and what it does for the community of Hastings and am very supportive of them," Hunt said. "I saw they needed somebody and I felt I could fill that need for them."
