FPB wins on walk-off hit by pitch

Five Points Bank's Zane Nelson pitches against Aurora
Wednesday night at Duncan Field.

Wednesday's Five Points Bank American Legion baseball game was a roller coaster ride of emotions for fans who attended.

From the laughter that ensued when the sprinklers came on in the middle of an inning to the pressure-filled at bats FPB had late in the game, spectators at Duncan Field got their money's worth.

Five Points Bank, which trailed 7-0 after the top of the second inning, beat Aurora 12-11.

"The main thing I want to take away from tonight is that our guys did not quit," said FPB coach Steve Illingworth. "They had a mindset that they wanted to do this tonight. I was really pleased with the fight of my team, considering all that they've been through."
