Runza rolls past Norfolk

After Sunday’s loss in the Mid Nebraska League championship, the Hastings Runza American Legion baseball team’s head coach John LaMaster knew his team could have played better.

On Tuesday, Runza did just that.

Hastings had both the offense and defense working in its doubleheader against Norfolk, winning game one 20-0 and game two 15-1.

“It was solid defense. That’s the kind of team we’ve had these past two months — we’ve had good defense,” LaMaster said.
