MINDEN — The first year for the Minden Sprint Triathlon was a success.

“It went really well,” organizer Ryan Wakefield said. “We had a nice turnout, and the weather stayed away just long enough that it went off without a hitch.”

There were 31 participants, which Wakefield said was a “good first showing.”

Everything finished with the triathlon by 10:30 a.m. Sunday, not long before the first raindrops fell.
