Across Nebraska arrive at Hebron's Roosevelt Monday evening.

HEBRON — Tregg Reiss’s tractor was a favorite among participants on Monday, the third day of the 2014 Tractor Relay Across Nebraska.

The 1940 M white International Harvester hauled the group’s portable toilet from Beatrice to Hebron. A different volunteer transports the stall each day.

“It wasn’t too bad,” he said. “I was a very popular tractor at the stops.”

Reiss of Eustis was one of about 40 relay participants who rolled into downtown Hebron around 6 p.m. The convoy followed U.S. Highway 136 along the south edge of town west to First Street, north to Lincoln Avenue — Hebron’s main street — and east to Fifth Street where the tractors, led by a Hebron fire engine, turned south and wrapped around Roosevelt Park.
Around 10 tractors were already waiting at Roosevelt Park to join the relay today.
