Kids make mess at camp

Megan Welton, 6, squirts green paint onto her canvas during
Hastings Museum's Messy Art SummerFun Class Thursday.

The rules of Messy Art camp are simple:

1. Look at teacher when she is giving directions.

2. Share materials.

3. Don’t get paint on other people.

Other than that, the guidelines for the camp at Hastings Museum this week are pretty loose.

“There’s no one right way,” camp leader Pat Harpham said of art. “The answer isn’t 2. Any way I do it is art. That’s what drew me to it in the first place.”
