JUNIATA — Two local fishermen reeled in a pair of sterling silver trophies after winning the Governor's Cup Walleye Tournament Sunday at Harlan County Reservoir.

Randy Downing, 43, and Ben Pegg, 66, won first place at the tournament and celebrated with a fish fry Wednesday at the Plainsman Steakhouse and Lounge in Juniata, which Pegg owns. Downing is the co-owner R & J Tree and Lawn LLC in Hastings.

This is the second year the two have teamed up for the competition on the lake near Republican City and Alma. In 2013, they didn't fare well.
