GLENVIL — Those who were sheepish fit right in at the second annual Mutton Bustin’ event Saturday morning in Glenvil.

Just one of a variety of kid-friendly events associated with Glenfest 2014, the event pitted riders ages 16 and under weighing less than 100 pounds against some of the most ornery sheep around, including three that slipped through the fence, causing a brief delay as they were retrieved.

Twenty-five youngsters were chomping at the bit to compete, though some had early departures and others needed a helping hand from the sheep handlers to avoid potential injury.

“You just get on a sheep and hold on as long as you can,” said Lawnie Luedtke, event coordinator.
