Council president resigns

The president of the Hastings City Council submitted his resignation Sunday evening after announcing that he had moved out of his ward.

Roger Glen, who has served on the council since 2002, recently moved from his home in Ward 2 at 1324 Regency Drive to a home outside that ward in the city.

As such, Glen submitted his resignation to Mayor Vern Powers via email Sunday evening.
