As he puts the finishing touches on Hastings' first half marathon, Ron Alexander's life has taken on a bustling tone.
But he doesn't mind. As the activities director at Adams Central, he is used to that.
"I've always been busy," he said.
Besides, as a runner himself, Alexander gets a lot of his mental preparation done as he exercises. Running, Alexander said, is one of the few quiet times in his life.
"I can think about things and relax," he said. "I just like the solitude."
The Healthy Hastings Run For Your Life sponsored by Mary Lanning Healthcare Saturday morning will include 10K, 5K and one-mile children's fun run distances in addition to the half marathon of 13.1 miles.
