Kids rounded up for rodeo camp

Central Nebraska Children's Museum Thursday morning.

There may have been boots, spurs and flashy cowboy boots but the rodeo at the Children's Museum of Central Nebraska took on a different twist Thursday.

The Rodeo Roundup Camp gave kids ages 3-5 the chance to use their foam noodle horses to try out barrel racing before they moved on to goat tying, roping and, of course, bull riding.

"Jace (Hajny) No. 104 is off on barrel racing," said museum director and announcer Deb Bosle. "Around one more orange cone and he's home."

To end the camp, the more than 20 young rodeo fans spent part of the morning Friday at the Nebraska State High School Finals Rodeo at the Adams County Fairgrounds.
