National vice president rodeo competitor

Jaden Clark competes in bareback riding Thursday night
during the second round of the State High School Rodeo
Finals at the Adams County Fairgrounds Thursday night.

Jaden Clark competed in the saddle bronc, bareback and team calf roping events during the Nebraska State High School Rodeo in Hastings this week but his rodeo involvement is more than that.

The 18-year-old Wellfleet resident followed in the footsteps of his father, J.R., and older brother, Wyatt, when he became involved in the National High School Rodeo Association in which he serves as student vice president.

"I'd like to think I'll always be a part of rodeo in one way or another," he said.

Clark will compete on the University of Wyoming rodeo team next year as a freshman.
