Point totals on the season, including scores notched during the finals, determined which competitors would advance to the National Rodeo Finals July 14-20 in Rock Springs, Wyo.

Bonifas, a recent graduate of Adams Central High School, will attend Northwest Missouri State in the fall. She competed in barrel racing for the fourth straight year this week. she placed among the top 10 the past two years.

"It's pretty awesome," she said. "You're up against the Top 30, so it's kind of the best of the best. You just have to kind of go out, make your run, and not be too nervous."
