City done picking up trees

After nearly two weeks of work, most terraces in Hastings are finally free of tree debris.

City crews have been working since the June 14 storm to pick up tree limbs and branches next to the curb across the city.

City Administrator Joe Patterson said this morning that the work has been completed.

“We have made it through the whole town once,” he said. “Anyone who hasn’t drug their stuff out has to get it out to the landfill themselves.”
